Electronic Signature Consent
Last updated June 16, 2026
This Electronic Signature Consent describes your agreement to sign documents and receive records electronically when using the [PLATFORM NAME] Service, including estimates, maintenance agreements, invoices, and related disclosures. It is provided under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
1. Consent to Electronic Records & Signatures
By clicking to accept, drawing or typing your signature, or otherwise indicating agreement, you consent to use electronic records and electronic signatures, and you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature and is binding.
2. Scope
Your consent applies to estimates, proposals, service and maintenance agreements, invoices, receipts, authorizations, disclosures, and any related notices presented electronically through the Service.
3. What We Record
When you sign electronically, we may record the signer's name, the signature image or input, the date and time, the IP address, and the device/browser information, together with the document signed. This audit trail helps verify the authenticity and integrity of the signed record.
4. Hardware & Software Requirements
To access and retain electronic records you need: a device with internet access; a current web browser; a valid email address or phone number; and the ability to view, download, or print PDF/web documents. By consenting, you confirm you can access records in these formats.
5. Receiving & Retaining Records
Electronic records are provided through the Service and may also be sent to your email or phone. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current and for saving or printing copies for your records. You may request a paper copy of a signed document at no charge by contacting the business that sent it.
6. Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw your consent to do business electronically before completing a transaction by declining to sign and requesting a paper process from the business. Withdrawal does not affect the validity of records or signatures completed before withdrawal. Note that some transactions may only be available electronically.
7. Questions
If a contractor sent you a document to sign, contact that contractor directly. For platform questions, contact [support@yourcompany.com].
