Workmanship & Warranty Policy
Last updated June 16, 2026
Cowboys Air Conditioning & Heating stands behind our work. This policy describes our workmanship warranty and how manufacturer equipment warranties apply. It supplements your Service Terms & Conditions.
1. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant our labor and installation workmanship to be free from defects for [___ days / 1 year / 2 years] from the date of service. If a covered workmanship defect appears during this period, we will correct it at no charge for labor related to the original work.
2. Equipment & Parts Warranty
New equipment and parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by brand and model (commonly [5–10 years] on parts with registration). Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer's terms, including registration deadlines and proper maintenance. We will help you register equipment and process manufacturer claims. Manufacturer warranties typically cover parts only; diagnostic and labor charges may apply unless covered by a separate labor warranty or maintenance plan.
3. Repairs
Repairs using new parts are warranted for [___ days] on the specific part and related labor. Repairs to aging systems do not warrant the rest of the system, and we cannot guarantee the continued operation of components we did not service.
4. What Is Not Covered
- Damage from misuse, accidents, power surges, lightning, flooding, pests, or acts of nature.
- Lack of routine maintenance (for example, clogged filters or coils), or work or modifications by others.
- Pre-existing conditions, code issues created by others, or deferred repairs we recommended.
- Consumable items (for example, filters) and normal wear, unless covered by a maintenance plan.
- Refrigerant beyond what is required to complete a covered repair, where a leak originates outside our work.
5. Making a Claim
Contact us at [phone / email] with your name, service address, and a description of the issue. Keep your invoice and any equipment registration. We will schedule an evaluation, and if the issue is covered, perform the warranty work. Claims must be made within the applicable warranty period.
6. Transfer
Workmanship warranties are [non-transferable / transferable to a new owner with notice]. Manufacturer warranties follow the manufacturer's transfer rules.
7. Maintenance Plan Members
Members of a Cowboys AC maintenance plan may receive extended labor coverage and other benefits described in the Maintenance Plan / Membership Agreement.
